At Riverside Training we offer three business administration qualifications:
Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration is for those already working with some autonomy and personal responsibility. It provides the learner with the skills, knowledge and understanding of administration staff work across a wide range of industries and types of organisations. There are six mandatory units - communication in a business environment, understand employer organisations, principles of providing administrative services, principles of business document production and information management, manage personal performance and development and develop working relationships with colleagues. In addition, learners can choose optional units including analyse and present business data, exploring social media, principles of marketing theory and principles of team leading. There are no formal entry requirements.
Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration is for those already working in an administrative role who want to develop their knowledge to enhance their career prospects or those wanting to develop a broad, in-depth understanding of business and administrative knowledge, with a view to preparing for high level employment in the administration field. There are five mandatory units - principles of business communication and information, principles of business, communicate in a business environment, principles of administration and manage personal and professional development. In addition, learners can choose optional units including manage an office facility, employee rights and responsibilities, chair and lead meetings and principles of market research. There are no formal entry requirements.
Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Business Administration is suitable for learners working with autonomy and personal responsibility within a business environment who want a qualification that reflects their current role. The qualification is also suitable for those who supervise others as part of their responsibilities. The diploma will provide learners with an array of business functional areas and specialisms from which they may achieve competence in a variety of contexts. Each qualification unit is allocated a number of guided learning hours, totalling a minimum of 253 and maximum of 388. Completion of this qualification could lead to jobs such as office administrator, receptionist, secretary, personal assistant, team leader and manager.
